River Reads

Some of the most important restoration work on Bass River is happening away from the places where most people boat, swim, fish, or take sunset photos. It is happening in old cranberry bogs. That may surprise people. But retired cranberry bogs can hold enormous restoration potential. When they are reconnected to natural hydrology and restored toward functioning wetlands, they can help improve water quality, support habitat, store carbon, absorb stormwater, and strengthen the r
